DHL Express is a company under the Deutsche Post DHL Group, a world-renowned logistics group, headquartered in Bonn, Germany. In December 1986, Sinotrans-DHL International Air Express Co., Ltd. was established in Beijing. The two parties to the joint venture were China Foreign Trade Transportation (Group) Corporation and DHL International Air Express Co., Ltd. As the world's best international express delivery company, Sinotrans-DHL has helped hundreds of thousands of Chinese small and medium-sized enterprises build a professional international logistics system through professional and efficient logistics and express delivery services over the years.
At present, Sinotrans-DHL has established a strong international express service network in China, covering 80% of the population gathering areas and economic center cities. "Sinotrans-DHL has grown up along with the pace of China's reform and opening up. We are witnesses and participants in the process of reform and opening up, and we are also the beneficiaries of the reform and opening up policy." Wu Dongming said that reform and opening up has promoted China's outward orientation. The steady development of the economy will provide broad development opportunities for international logistics companies. For example, the customs clearance facilitation measures introduced by China Customs, including the integration of customs and inspection, single window, and paperless customs declaration, have promoted port efficiency and fee reduction, which are of great benefit to logistics and foreign trade companies.
With the opening of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, the Sinotrans-DHL Zhuhai Port was officially put into use on November 2. The time for international express delivery passing customs clearance at Zhuhai Port to be transferred to DHL's Hong Kong hub will be shortened from the original 4 hours to 45 minutes, greatly improving the transfer time and service quality. At the other end of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, the Hong Kong Central Asia hub, one of DHL's three global core hubs, has also begun expansion projects. After the expansion, the total storage area of the Hong Kong hub will reach nearly 50,000 square meters, and the cargo handling capacity will increase by 50 %, reaching the level of 1 million tons per year and processing 120,000 express shipments per hour. The logistics flight from Shenzhen to Leipzig also officially launched its first flight on November 2. The opening of the flight will allow the Pearl River Delta region to be more directly integrated into the DHL global network and provide more reliable logistics services to customers in South China.
